The role of insulation is to place a barrier between inside and outside that slows the escape of heat. The materials used must have a low conduction capacity, combined with walls containing many small air-filled cells, because air keeps its insulating properties when it is still.
Greater insulation thickness reduces heat loss. There is, however, a wide variety of systems and materials to line or thermally reinforce walls that are uninsulated or insufficiently insulated.
Since 2012, all new buildings must meet low-consumption standards (50 kWh/m²/year).
Our RGE Qualibat / Eco Artisan certification allows our customers to benefit from French government grants for home improvement and energy performance.
Always remember that it is not the cold coming into your home, but the heat escaping from it.
